Black VVideo Presents – DOCTOR DEATH & OTHER RARITIES

March 30 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Black VVideo Presents DOCTOR DEATH and a showcase of other VHS releases from their label in the Movie Madness Miniplex!

Black VVideo will be present in the Miniplex for this extremely rare screening of DOCTOR DEATH (1989)! In addition to the 18-minute short film, Black VVideo will also show Executioner: The Musical (1989), Ramboner (not a porno) 1 & 2 (1991) and a few choice episodes of Wayne Spitzer and Andy Kumpon’s Dead of Night (1995).

Shot in Super 8 by unsupervised high school kids in Eugene, Oregon! This 20-minute post-apocalyptic comedy chase film is short on explanations, heavy on explosions.

Self-released on VHS in 1989, reviewed in many ‘zines of the time, including Psychotronic magazine. Joe Bob Briggs said, “I really enjoyed all the things you blew up.”

Black VVideo is extremely thrilled to present the official reissue of Doctor Death, a frenetic and refreshing dose of teenage rebellion, all stitched together with punk themes. This genius and scarce work of art is the first film by effects and animation legend Webster Colcord and features never-before-seen and newly added footage. This special edition also features Webster’s cartoon Extreme Man and Insane Boy and a bonus featurette with behind-the-scenes footage and location visits. It also comes with a crispy new issue of The VVideozine and a reissue of Webster’s original bonus sticker pack!
